Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, mash avocados with garlic and lime juice. Season generously with salt to taste.

Step 2

Using a small offset spatula or spoon, spread avocado mixture over each tortilla chip. Fill a piping bag or squirt bottle with sour cream (you can use a spoonful or two of heavy cream to loosen the sour cream if necessary). Pipe “spider web” designs on top of each chip. Eat right away!

  • 4 ripe Chilean avocados
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Salt
  • 40 round tortilla chips (blue if possible)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Heavy cream as needed
