To this end, most of the orchards have completed implementation and certification under rigorous international standards.

Exporters have likewise implemented Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), BRC and other standards in their packing plants.

With these systems working in tandem, it is now possible to trace an avocado all the way back to the orchard and even the specific sector of origin.
